I have started a new art project. Painting baby and toddler clothes of my childhood.

Kept on the top shelf of a storage cupboard in my home I found a suitcase that had been left there after my parents had both died.

Inside were stored baby clothes that my grandmother had lovingly made using an beautiful old

Singer sewing machine. Some of the clothes were bought from David Jones on the yearly pilgrimage my mother made

to buy ‘special’ clothes for special occasions.

Most of us have something we have kept from our childhood. 

These clothes are deteriorating so I am painting them for prosperity, to keep them from disappearing from the ravages of time.
